Why should I create a good profile?

SupplierBID.com profiles are the key to creating a good network. Buyers can use their profiles to broadcast messages to their suppliers about new opportunities. Suppliers can use their profile to advertise the parts they make and then send that profile to buyers who they are interested in working with.

I value my supplier relationships or I don’t want to change suppliers right now.

While we highly recommend doing so, SupplierBID.com does not have to be used to find new suppliers. Buyers can invite their current suppliers to join their network and use it to make information about new opportunities available to them. Also, as a buyer you can post parts that are under contract. Then you can use competitive bids on those parts to judge whether or not you’re getting the best possible price from your current suppliers.

I’m part of an organization with several sourcing/sales professionals. Can we work together?

Yes! The first use that signs up their company with SupplierBID.com is automatically a Company Administrator. The company will get an ID, which is visible to the administrator. Then a new user can join that company using the ID, at which point the company’s administrator can approve them. This process allows multiple users to register under the same company.

This is a great website, but how can it be free?

SupplierBID.com will always have free memberships. In the future we'll make our money by offering value added services and optional higher level memberships for our users.

I’m a supplier. How frequently should I monitor the site to look for new parts?

We recommend that you monitor your networks as frequently as possible. In addition to this, however, you can also sign up for product alerts in the categories you are interested in. These alerts will be delivered to you once a week to tell you about newly posted products.

This is great technology! Is it for sale?

SupplierBID.com currently has a patent pending on its US business model and several of our algorithms, but we currently do not have any plans to license our software.
